LOCAL GOVERNMENT MINISTER ANNOUNCES DISTRIBUTION MATRIX OF RUSSIAN DUMP TRUCKS TO LOCAL COUNCILS

Minister Tamba J.S. Lamina announcing the distribution matrix to Local Councils

 6th Floor, Youyi Building, Freetown, 15 May, 2021- The Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Tamba J.S. Lamina, has in a meeting with Heads of Local Councils announced the distribution pattern of the fifty (50) dump trucks to Local Councils across Sierra Leone.

He disclosed that the Ministry considered a lot of factors in deciding the amount of trucks to be allocated per Council, adding that the geographical stretch and the amount of wastes the Councils contend with per day were critical among other considerations.

“As a Ministry, we also took into consideration that some Councils benefited greatly from the trucks that were donated to us by the Chinese’s Government. It is also our conviction that some Councils have wider geographical areas that produce more waste products than the others. On that note, we have decided as a Ministry to distribute the trucks by the designed distribution matrix below;
